Exercise Game: TOUCH

Because Touch is all about numbers and how they relate, I like the idea of having a specific number after watching Touch.  So, do the workouts throughout the commercial breaks, and report back with your numbers.  This one was killer last week, so remember, only do what you can and take breaks when you need to.

Here is a general workout for the Big Bang Theory.  I wanted to post it last week, but there wasn't a new episode.  Hope you enjoy.

The Voice: Last Night of Battles

Tonight is the last night of battles, and then the real competition starts.  Here is a workout for tonight's episode of The Voice!

Two Broke Girls

Two Broke Girls is on a break, but if you are going to be watching the rerun after HIMYM, here is an additional workout.

Soap Operas

I have a deep love of soap operas from when I was a kid, but naptime and kids really don't allow me to get into them any more. But here is a fun general soap workout for those of you lucky enough to follow them...

How I Met Your Mother

Here is a general workout for How I Met Your Mother. Let's see how it goes. If there are any suggestions to make it better, just leave a comment. Thanks.

Dr. Phil Exercise Game

As much as I love to do Prime-Time shows, the most convenient time for me to workout is actually during daytime television (especially if the kids take a nap). So, I will be adding a series of daytime television shows, and I am looking for suggestions. So, if you have one, please leave a comment for me. But Dr. Phil seemed like a good first choice.

Exercise Game: Shark Tank

Shark Tank is one of my favorite shows on television. I'm not very business minded, so I find it all very fascinating. I love the conflict, the numbers, the "Why didn't I think of that?" ideas...

Here is a general workout for Shark Tank.

As always, only do what you can do. If you need a break, take one. If Mark Cuban rants about patents during every segment, and a few times in between, decrease the number of Burpees. This should be fun and just get you moving a bit.

Touch Numbers

Well, it is interesting that touch was all about numbers, since this workout was too. My total number was 494, and the overall workout felt good. Although the commercials seemed super LONG! Did anyone else keep track of their numbers?

Series Premier of Touch!

The series premier of Touch is starting out tonight, and I have high hopes that it won't suck. I loved 24 at the beginning and feel like this show could have the same impact. But, since I don't really know what to expect, it was difficult to make a workout, so we're going to do our first commercial break workout!

Here is is!

It's time for...American Idol!

Here is the American Idol workout. The bonus workout for tonight is that if a judge gets booed you need to do a wall squat for an entire commercial at the next commercial break.

Remember, to only do as much as your body can handle and take breaks if you need to!

NCIS

NCIS is a show that I usually just catch if it is on, but don't usually plan to watch. I'm hoping to catch tonight's episode, but since I haven't seen it in awhile, I set up a generic exercise to do.

Tuck Jumps can be hard and you can substitute with 10 butt-kickers. Always remember to only do what your body can handle and to take breaks if you need them. Good luck!

Tuesday Is Jeopardy Day

I don't have anything specific I watch on Tuesdays, so if there are any suggestions let me know. However,we love Jeopardy in our house, and it can be a fun Exercise Game too.

I recommend watching Jeopardy with a friend and getting your workout. Lay on your stomach next to each other and see who gets the correct answer first. If you get the right answer, the other person does 4 push-ups. If no one gets the answer correct, then you both do two. See how you feel and try to double the push-ups in double jeopardy. Then you both write down an answer in final jeopardy. If you are correct, then your workout is over. If not, 1 minute of Burpees!

How I Met Your Mother Results

There is no better way to start off a Monday Night than by 200 jumping jacks in the introduction. "Broath" and "Stripper" were said WAY too many times, 16 by my count, making 400 total jumping jacks. I admit I could have missed them while doing said jumping jacks.

The idea of a break-up was the theme of the show, but it was only really implied three times, for a total of 15 push-ups. Lily and Marshall kissed once adding 20 squats, and while the word baby wasn't used, Lily did mention their child so that was good for two burpees. I alternated planks and butt-kickers when I wasn't finishing off jumping jacks during the commercials. Overall, a pretty solid workout. Glad HIMYM is only a half hour show...

How I Met Your Mother

This week we get to spend more time with Quinn. She seems to be a very unlikable character, but given the fact that she shot 8 episodes already, it appears that she's here for the long-term. Hope you enjoy the workout.

25 Jumping Jacks when the words "broath" or "stripper" are used.
5 Push-ups when someone says, "break-up"
20 Squats when Marshall and Lily Kiss
2 Burpees when someone mentions the baby

Bonus Exercise: Butt-Kickers or Plank on Commercials

Good Wife Totals

So, if I counted correctly, there were five objections, 50 push-ups. Will tiptoed around legal issues twice, so 1 minute plank. There was one mention of firing, so 25 Jumping Jacks. No bad hockey puns, so no squats! The judge brought everyone to the bench once, so there were some butt-kickers. And the long commercials just about killed me! But overall, it was a decent little workout, and a not so bad episode.

The Good Wife

Tonight is an all new episode of the Good Wife and while it is one of my favorites, it is time to heat things up a bit. SO, I've thought up a workout to do during the show. Every time certain things happen in the show, there are corresponding workouts that need to be done.

Action in show: Workout:
An objection 10 push-ups
Will tiptoes around a question 30 second plank
Someone mentions a firing 25 jumping jacks
Bad Hockey Pun 10 squats

Also, whenever the judge brings both sides to the bench, perform butt kickers throughout the discussion of the lawyers. And if you are feeling it, Air box in a squat position during the commercials.

Of course, you should make sure that you are physically capable of doing this working out and also take a break if you need one.
